BUSINESS LEAGUE at HIGHLANDS

Welcome to the 10th  annual Business League at Highlands Golf Course (8th at Highlands).  Our main goal for this league is for you to have fun and enjoy this league and this format.  Our staff will work hard to make this an enjoyable league.

Rules & Guidelines

  1. Format:  MATCH -PLAY, 2-Man Scramble for league play. Tees for league play will be determined after the completion of the pre-season tournament.

  1. Divisions:  There will be four divisions with 8 teams in each division.  Divisions will be based on your two week pre-season tournament score ending April 29th.  The top 8 teams will be in division A, next 8 in division B, and the next 8 in division C and the last 8 in division D.

  1. Team Scoring:  Points will be awarded as follows:  2 for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a lost.  Top four teams in each division will be awarded certificates for each ½ of the league.  Any ties for any places, all money will be split.  Results will be posted on the website as well as any updates on your teams standing and all other information.

  1. Certificates:  All certificates will be put on the books under your team name.  It is up to the team captain as how the money will be distributed.  When signing a flag prize, use your team name.  There will be 8 weekly certificates for flag prizes worth $10 each.  Two per division.  Flag prizes will be put out during league play only. 

  1. 2010 Pay-Outs: ( Estimated –Based on 32 teams)

      Kick-Off Meal:                          $  250

      Preseason Tournament:              $  360

      Flag Prize Winners:                    $ 1120

      1st Half (Top 4 each div.)           $ 1240 (1st – $ 120, 2nd - $ 90, 3rd - $60, 4th - $ 40 each flight)

      2nd Half (Top 4 each div.)          $ 1240 (1st – $ 120, 2nd - $ 90, 3rd - $60, 4th - $ 40 each flight)

      1-Man Scramble (June 25th)      $  240

      Year-End Party                        $ 350 

  1. Starting Times:  Shotgun start every Thursday at 5:30.

  1. Check-In Procedure:  Due to the number of players from this league and other leagues, we ask that you pay your green fees & cart fees at the TURN.  Check in by your league name.  We encourage you to ride, but it’s not required.  If you are riding, we will stage carts along the northwest side of clubhouse with keys in them.

  1. Hole Starting Assignments:  We will posted on the website and in the clubhouse on a table in the lounge with scorecards for each match.
  2. Substitutes: Substitutes may be used for one or both players. In the event that there is no one able to play for a team that team will forfiet that weeks match. If there is only 1 person of the team that can play, they may play 2 balls off the tee ONLY and after that play one ball from the best tee shot until it is holed.

 

 

Please check back on the website (under the schedule page), if necessary contact the pro shop (402-441-6081), at or after 3:30PM on scheduled league days to make sure the league will be playing that day barring weather and course conditions.
